Refund policy

Custom costume orders aren't refundable, instead lets work together to alter your costume to preserve time, energy and resources.

Sew & Strut by India Jean PDF patterns and Courses can't be refunded or exchanged

For hand made ready to wear (this means its not customised) we have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at order.indiajean@gmail.com, we'll ask for a photo of your garment to be sent to us, a photo must me of the item your requesting a refund or exchange, the photo must contain the following:

  • Picture of item, front and back
  • Picture of lining front and back, make sure to include the crotch in the pic

Once we've had email correspondence and we've received clear pictures, you'll send the item/s back to us at your cost.

Once we receive your item/s and they are in satisfactory condition for a return or exchange we'll send you an invoice to pay for the return shipping and we'll send your new item/s to you.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order once received and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalised items)
  • Items with marks & stains
  • Items that smell of cigarette smoke, perfume and washing detergent
  • Items that have been worn other than trying on over the top of underwear
  • Items that have sweat and have been danced
  • Wear and tear from customers use


Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have within 14 days, and once the return is accepted and you've paid for the shipping through an invoice we send you, we'll send your new item to your door.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
